OSHA’s 3-Step Fall Prevention Strategy
Since 2012, OSHA has partnered with the National Institute on Occupational Safety and Health and the National Occupational Research Agenda to raise awareness about falls. The strategy is simple: Plan. Provide. Train.
Step 1: Plan ahead by selecting the proper safety equipment and clearing a site of any hazards.
Step 2: Provide fall protection for workers working from heights of 6 feet or more.
Step 3: Train every worker how to properly use fall protection gear.
