About Us

From Cotton Webbing to Hi-Tech Nylon and Polyester Webbing

From cotton webbings used by the Ford Motor Company in Model-T’s to military tapes (another expression for webbing) during World War II, to seat belt webbing for automobiles in 1954, to our current webbing line-up of high tensile strength narrow fabrics used in cargo restraint, safety protection, lifting and other specialty products, Southern Weaving has geared its operations around serving our customer base with superior products and service. The original cotton webbing is now widely replaced by Nylon and Polyester webbing.
